A giraffe at the Brookfield zoo... it was rather pathetic how it kept reaching up its long neck to reach the leaves just out of reach of its black tongue.
Despite being separated by 1,743 miles and two time zones, Gennia & Leilani decided late one night to create a collaborative photo blog. It began as a challenge--would they be able to post new photos EVERY day?--and quickly became a way for the friends to vicariously experience each other's adventures through the streets of their respective cities of Los Angeles and Chicago.
Street View will include digital photographs as well as Polaroid, Holga and 35 mm film in both black and white and colour. As for subject matter, Leilani favors slightly gritty urban details and bright colours while Gennia gravitates towards creating narratives through moments in time.
Both girls tend to roam so also expect to see the streets of Australia, Las Vegas, Montreal, NYC & Arkansas also featured sporadically on this blog.

woo that colors are great! And the giraffe is so cute!
I love the rounded corners, I need to start doing that. It makes it seem more old-fashioned (that's good). Nice composition with this piece.
